HUNT MUSEUM GARDEN SUMMER CHESS KNOCKOUT TOURNAMENT SATURDAY AUGUST 6 2022

 

Venue: THE HUNT MUSEUM garden, Rutland St. Limerick City. Thanks to the Hunt museum management for providing the venue.
Schedule: 4 Rounds, 1st Round @ 11 am Round 2 @ 12 pm, meal break @ 12.45 pm Round 3 - 1.15 pm, Round 4(Final) - 2.15 pm, followed by the prize giving
Entry Fee: Entry For All competitors was free
Time Limit: Time limit for all games was 20 minutes each player for all moves with no increment except in the final it was 20 min plus 5 second increment
Prize Trophies were awarded for 1st, 2nd and Best Junior.
This non-rated event was open to all chess players or members of the public who know the Rules of chess .
The tournament was held outdoors in the Hunt museum back garden in fairly good weather.
Number of entries were limited to 16 with 8 boards played and the final played on the giant chess board.
The Arbiter was Neal Kirby, who also did the round draws.
Sets & clocks were provided at the venue by the Limerick chess club.
