RATE OF PLAY: 3 minutes with 2 second increment a side for all moves. with time handicaps. If 200+ points between the players, time handicap of 3:4 with 2 sec increment, for 400+ 3:6 with 2 sec increment,
ENTRIES AND REPORT:
There were 18 players from Ennis and Limerick clubs participating in this 6 round tournament. Con Kirby(Limerick) finished in first place on 5/6 points. Rory Delaney (Limerick) and John Cassidy (Ennis) were joint second on 4.5/6 points. James Naughton (Limerick) was Best Junior on 4.5/6 points. Neil Kirby was the controller with John Cassidy organising. The time handicap format led to some very exciting finishes and time scrambles but it was enjoyed by all the players.
