There were 17 players from Ennis, Sarsfield, Shannon and Limerick participating in this 6 round tournament. Niall McDonnell(Limerick) and Paul Carey (Sarsfield) finished in joint first place on 5/6 points. John Cassidy (Ennis) was third on 4.5/6 points. James Naughton(Limerick) and Kevin Singpurwala (Shannon) were joint Best Juniors on 4/6 points. Best Under-10 prizes went to Jiri and Josef Podzimek, both Limerick Brian Scully was the controller with John Cassidy organising. The time handicap format led to some very exciting finishes and time scrambles notably in the last round deciding game between Niall McDonnell and John Cassidy.
