MCU League Rules summary: (refer to MCU website for full rules)
1. Time control for all games is 90 minutes with time increment of 30 seconds
from move 1. If, and only if, no suitable digital clock
is available, 2 hours per player per game with the Irish Allegro Finish Rules applying after Black’s move 35 may be used.
2. Matches will be played on the appointed date and at the appointed venue as per the
schedule published by the leagues controller
3. A 5-0 score shall be awarded against any team that fails to appear for a match.
Notice of such a claim should be given to the league controller within 3 days of the match
4. The latest FIDE Laws of Chess apply except where specifically amended.
5. The Munster League will be submitted for Irish and FIDE rating(if possible) this year
6. The MCU will levy a fee on all clubs to cover the cost of room hire
7. All walkovers must be given from the bottom board up.

8. All team captains will report results of matches within 48 hours of the completion of the match to: mcuresults@gmail.com
9. Any player who is living in Munster or Connaught may play in the MCU Leagues.
Each team may play only one guest player per match.
